Description

In the Marketplace, displaying brand information clearly on product cards became crucial for multi-brand sales. We aimed to design a unified product card that enhances brand visibility while integrating seamlessly with the design system. Through user testing, benchmarking, and iterative UX reviews, we refined the product card experience and established technical rules to ensure consistency across different catalog types.

Multibrand Catalogs at Veepee

The Goal:
Ensure clear visibility of brand information on product cards in the Marketplace, particularly for multi-brand sales, while aligning with the overall design system.

Challenges:
In flash sales, product cards typically display a single brand, but for multi-brand sales, the lack of brand visibility became a key issue. We needed a solution that worked across different catalog types and integrated with our design system.

Methodology & Research:

  • Developed a clear approach to displaying brand names on product cards based on the type of sale.
  • Designed a unified product card for multi-brand sales, aligning it with the new search front project.
  • Reorganized and refined the taxonomy to determine which attributes should be displayed on the product card.
  • Ensured alignment with existing design system components, or created new components as needed.
  • Conducted competitive benchmarking and organized two guerilla testing sessions at Paris Gare St-Lazare.
  • Collected feedback through UX reviews, analyzed mockups, and addressed pain points.
  • Validated the new brand display approach based on catalog type.
  • Established user flows and technical rules for when and how to display brand information across catalogs.
