Revamping Catalogs at Veepee
The Goal:
To unify the front-end experience across all catalogs and improve the overall user experience, addressing UI gaps caused by technical legacy issues.
Challenges:
We faced inconsistencies in how catalogs and filters were presented, especially when handling different types of sales (mono-seller, multi-brand, etc.). Our aim was to streamline navigation through product taxonomies and create a consistent filtering system.
Objective:
To provide a new experience where customers can refine products by category in the filter view or product listing results.
Methodology & Research:
- Conducted a gap analysis with a comprehensive taxonomy audit.
- Aligned taxonomy strategy and prioritized development.
- Developed user flows and prototypes based on benchmarks, data, and an ideal catalog vision.
- Performed data analysis (Mixpanel) and user tests on desktop and mobile.
- Prioritized UI improvements and filter logic without disrupting sales.
- Defined technical rules for filters (price, brand, sizes) and catalog behavior.
